The Curotto-Can

This here is one of the coolest new trucks to hit the streets in my area recently - a Peterbilt 520 with a Heil Half/Pack Freedom body, with the CNrG tailgate-mounted CNG system and a Curotto-Can automated carry can! This shiny new beast is seen here collecting carts and "extras" on an unlimited "take all" garbage route! It's definitely pretty cool seeing more variety of trucks in my area over the last couple years, and this truck is definitely no exception! I hope you all enjoy seeing it in action!

Autocar WX64 - McNeilus AutoReach

It's been a long, long time since I've posted anything from Waste Management's rural routes in my area, so I figure it's about high time I change that. So here we have an Autocar Xpeditor WX64 with a McNeilus AutoReach body collecting from a rather sizable mobile home park out in the middle of the countryside. The key things for me that make the rural routes so fun are that there tends to be more older carts, manual bins and loose bags are collected (though I didn't catch any on film this time, unfortunately) and also 35, 64, and 96 gallon carts are offered in the county (only 35 and 96 are offered in town, per the city contract). Though AutoReach's aren't by any means rare, and not everyone finds them to be the most interesting, this one really chugs right along and was quite fun to watch, at least to me. I hope you all enjoy the video, I've got some more rural route footage featuring some other trucks as well, so keep an eye out for that later on down the road!

Peterbilt 520 - McNeilus Zero Radius

November 10, 2018

Well, here's a rather interesting little truck - a Peterbilt 520 with a "mini" McNeilus Zero Radius body, seen here collecting some residential compost! While there are certainly a fair few McNeilus ZR videos floating about on YouTube, I believe this may be the first "mini" ZR to find itself on film. Despite the hopper being roughly the same size as the body itself, this truck still manages to look aesthetically pleasing and "proportionally correct" and it was definitely neat to catch it handling such an interesting variety of carts as well. Also of note, this is the first Peterbilt 520 that I've managed to catch a full-length video of, so it's definitely kind of neat to finally have that "checked off my list" so-to-speak. Peterbilt 320 - Heil DuraPack Half/Pack

A few months ago, I finally shared my first City of Richland front load footage - and with collections beginning somewhere around 2:30 a.m. it was no easy feat! That video featured the city’s brand new Mack LR with a Dadee Mantis body, which can be seen here! Now the time has come to show off one of the city’s older front loaders - this Peterbilt 320 paired up with a Heil DuraPack Half/Pack body! During our first attempt at finding the Mantis, Alan and I stumbled across this truck by pure luck collecting in a huge retail & dining area just before sunrise, and it made for an awesome video! The area was packed with full dumpsters, in fact this entire video was filmed all just within three separate shopping complexes, all centered around the same intersection which made for about some of the easiest filming I’ve ever done on a commercial route! Over all, I had a lot of fun watching and filming this truck, and I’m super glad that we happened to spot it! I hope you all enjoy as well!

Mack MRU - Amrep HX-450-FL Front Loader

A couple of weeks ago, Alan (West Coast Refuse Trucks) and I set out for a week long trip to California in search of some of the more interesting trucks that still roam the streets of the Golden State! We spent our last day in California at the famous WM G.I. Industries operation (more on that to come soon!) which including tagging along with this sparkling beauty of a truck on its Saturday commercial route! As many of you already know, G.I. recently acquired the routes, trucks, and other assets of Anderson Rubbish, which included this Mack TerraPro MRU with Amrep HX-450-FL body, now freshly repainted in WM colors! I still cannot get over how well the Mack TerraPro pairs up with the Amrep body and especially how eye-catching this combo looks in the Waste Management livery - it’s a shame that this isn’t a standard pairing for WM!

Without further ado, I would like to extend the absolute biggest of “Thank You’s” to Aaron (WMmaster626) and the entire crew at WM G.I. Industries for being so welcoming and helpful, and for making our visit absolutely top notch!
